Mew~Warranty
At Mew Lighting all our lighting complies with NZ/AU standards (SDoC on request) and covered by a minimum 2-years warranty, if installed by a qualified electrician.
LED Light bulbs come with 6 months warranty.
LED Downlights come with 3- years warranty.
No warranty for incandescent, fliament and Halogen light bulbs.
Warranty period on all products starts from the date of purchase of the original product only, not when any product is installed or replaced.
Please retain proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty enquiries.
The use of non-compatible dimmers on dimmable or non-dimmable light will damage your LED luminaire and will void the warranty.
Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the luminaire.
Mew~Return
Mew Lighting offers a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Please note:
- Products may differ from those pictured on the website due to natural variations in the color/finish and scale of the image.
- Products that have been installed cannot be returned for a 'change of mind' refund.
- Clearance and custom-made items are NOT refundable and exchangeable.
HOW TO RETURN YOUR GOODS

- Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
1. Returns of purchases made in-store
To receive an immediate exchange or refund, return your items to Mew Lighting store within 14 days. You’ll receive a refund or an exchange at the same value as the original purchase price. You must present a copy of your store receipt.
Make sure that your items are in their original packaging, haven’t been installed and are in a resalable condition.
2. Returns of purchases made online
To receive an immediate exchange or refund, return your items to Mew Lighting store within 14 days. You’ll receive a refund or an exchange at the same value as the original purchase price, excluding shipping fees if you had your order home delivered. You must present a copy of your website order confirmation email or receipt.
Make sure that your items are in their original packaging, haven’t been installed and are in a resalable condition.
3. Return by shipping
To arrange a refund or exchange by shipping the goods back to us, please email our online sales support team on daliu.mason@gmail.com
You’ll need to cover the cost of shipping and include your original receipt or website order confirmation email with your returned items. Make sure that your items are in their original packaging, haven’t been installed, and are in a resalable condition.
Shipped returns may take up to 14 days to process. We’ll notify you by email.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, certain types of items cannot be returned, like clearance lights, and custom lights (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process.
